Cisco has acquired enterprise software startup Dashbase for an undisclosed amount.

Headquartered in Palo Alto, CA, Dashbase will enable customers to support broader and more highly unique and uncommon data sources across cloud and traditional environments in a scalable, high-performance way, giving them greater insight into performance issues.

According to Cisco, Dashbase will add to its observability capabilities in AppDynamics, which was acquired by Cisco in 2017.

With Dashbase’s logs and events analytics technology, AppDynamics will be able to further streamline case investigation and the resolution process with support for Metrics, Events, Logs and Traces.

The integration of Dashbase’s technology into the Cisco AppDynamics platform will enable customers to accelerate their digital transformation by unifying and taming the complexity of data across technology, user and business domains.

Cisco AppDynamics delivers total visibility of application environments. This end-to-end visibility allows users to quickly troubleshoot technology issues and streamline incident resolution to maintain user engagement and satisfaction, says Cisco.
